Hey everyone, I know I've been slacking a little on the 'regular' blog posts but with Christmas suddenly appearing I came to realise I wasn't at all ready, believe it or not I have now managed to get myself together and ready with presents! (I hope)
Anyway today while I was getting ready and about to apply my make up, I figured why not do a blog all about my current favourite make up/skincare products -Now I'm in no way shape or form a makeup/skincare pro but I do think I'm not too bad at it.
Let's stop rambling and get to the point, as I was sat in front of the mirror inspecting my face I realised I am starting to feel a whole lot better about my skin, I've always suffered with spots that are usually always on my chin and mouth area and it used to really really bother and upset me because they're always pretty noticable and I wouldn't dream of ever stepping foot outside my house unless I was wearing make up. However recently I now do feel comfortable and confident enough to do simple little things like food shopping or afternoon strolls without make up on my face - It's now more of a rare occasion for me to wear make up, as I now do not wear make up unless I really want to.
I prep my skin before applying make up with my Quick Fix Facals Exfoliating mask and leave this until hard before washing off with a flannel. I then use my Toner/Clenser leave this to set for a few minutes before going over my face with my Sonicleanser to make sure my face is as smooth as possible I then move onto my primer, which is another new product of mine called Nspa Instant Blur Primer and lets just say I've used this twice now and I absolutely love it, it really just feels amazing on and gives the best base for my foundation.
I started to use my Baremineral Bareskin - Pure Brightening Serum Foundation around 6 months ago now and have to say I really do love this foundation. It's nice and lightweight but gives great coverage for my skin, also it makes me feel less guilty about wearing make up as it is meant to be good for troubled skin -Perfect! I use this in colour Bare Linen 03.
After I've applied my foundation I then go in using my Amazing Cosmetics; Amazing Concealer and this really does say what it does on the packaging perfectly, I have to say for some people this may be far too heavy, but because I only use this on my chin area where I tend to breakout the most it's perfect, really full coverage but so blendable and you really don't need a lot of product as it goes a long way, I know I'll be re-purchasing this forever! I have this in shade Fair Golden.
To highlight under my eyes, nose and forehead I am currently using another new product but I'm loving it, this is by MUA Makeup Academy - Cover & Conceal although this can't obiously compete with the popular NARS concealer which I'm hoping to add to my products soon, it still does a great job at highlighting those parts mentioned. Then I of course use my Bareminerals Bronzer to contour and give my face some colour.
Moving on to lipstick I must say I have found the perfect nude from the high street, this combo is literally everything I want from a nude lip. I am cuurently using Rimmel's Lasting Finish 1000 kisses stay on lip pencil in shade 047 Cappuccino to line my lips before using my Rimmel Matte Lipstick in shade 700 Trendsetter now let me just say for me personally I first use my lipliner over the whole of my lips to make a darker base before I go on with the lipstick. As for me I like a darker nude than one that's feels too light for my skin.
For around 12pounds this combo really has amazed me with it's because they both glide on so smoothly, leaving a lovely feel to my lips and lasts really well, I seem to only top this up 2-3 times. I am currently wearing this combo everytime I wear make up and never seem to be reaching for anything else!! Deffo get yourselves these two lip producuts if you're looking for the perfect nude, I promise you won't be dissapointed.
Thanks to these beautiful godsend products I have been feeling so much more confident in myself and I would reccomend every single product to anyone who also has troubled skin. It's made a hell of a difference with not only how I look on the outside but how I feel on the inside, so why not shout about the stuff I'm loving at the moment and let you guys in on my secret!!
What products are you loving recently? Have any reccomendations on more products then let me know, as I'm up to trying anything and everything! Thank you again for taking the time to read my blog, let me know of any feedback.
